Their were 4 Irish regimental flags; 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 69th. They were carried into battle by the New York State Volunteer Regiments. This design represents the first” set presented to the volunteers by a committee of Irish ladies. The second and third sets being a different design. The motto written in old Irish tongue means:” Who never retreated from the clash of spears” The motto is thought to have been suggested by the Irish scholar John O’Mahoney. This flag first saw battle at the battle of Bull Run on July 211861. 


This brand new 3’x 5’ (91 x 152 cm) flag is screen printed with full color images and lighter reverse image on back. It is made of 100% durable lightweight super polyester fabric weighing approximately 4 to 6 oz. thus enabling flying in the slightest breeze. It is suitable for indoor use or for flying in light to moderate wind areas as well as in wet weather conditions. There are two rust-free brass grommets in the canvas header on the left side for easy mounting on flag poles or hanging banner style from ceilings or walls. It is machine washable and dryer safe with run resistant colors. We use 10 flag manufacturers in order to maintain our high quality of accuracy to detail and clearness of print.
