It has often been said that the 1824 flag was flown by Texan forces at the Battle of the Alamo. However, this was never alleged until 1860, long after the battle had occurred. Modern writers have pointed out that the presence of the 1824 flag at the time and place of the battle is highly unlikely. A similar flag was flown at least briefly by Texan Tejano forces, featuring two black, six pointed stars in place of the date. It is likely that the actual Alamo flag” referred to by accounts of the time was the Lone Star and Stripesand was widely referred to as the Texian flag

This brand new 3’x 5’ (91 x 152 cm) flag is screen printed with full color images and lighter reverse image on back. It is made of 100% durable lightweight super polyester fabric weighing approximately 4 to 6 oz. thus enabling flying in the slightest breeze. It is suitable for indoor use or for flying in light to moderate wind areas as well as in wet weather conditions. There are two rust-free brass grommets in the canvas header on the left side for easy mounting on flag poles or hanging banner style from ceilings or walls. It is machine washable and dryer safe with run resistant colors. We use 10 flag manufacturers in order to maintain our high quality of accuracy to detail and clearness of print.
